Admission Process

We are delighted that you are applying for admission to The Waldorf School of Atlanta (WSA). All of the application materials are enclosed in this packet. The application can also be completed on-line at www.waldorfatlanta.org. Please use the checklist below if you are applying for enrollment for the fall of 2015. Inform the Enrollment Director, Stacey Alston, if you are interested in immediate or mid-year enrollment.


Admission Checklist
Note: All necessary materials can be downloaded in electronic format, by clicking on the links in the checklist below, visiting our Applications page, or by downloading the Admissions Packet.

Preschool/Kindergarten


____ Attend an Introduction to Waldorf Education program to learn more about the school. Call the school office at (404) 377-1315 x1060 to reserve your space.
____ SUBMIT by February 13, 2015:
1. application,
2. non-refundable $75 application fee,
3. photograph of your child.
Applications received after this date will be processed as soon as possible but not necessarily by the notification date. You may apply online.
____ Give the Teacher Recommendation form to your child’s current or former teacher to complete and send to WSA.
____ Your family will receive a copy of Waldorf Education: A Family Guide. Please review it prior to the March parent evening.
____ Attend the meeting for prospective preschool/kindergarten parents on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 7pm.
____ Bring your child to the observation morning on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 9 - 11am. A continental breakfast and school informatin will be shared with the adults while the teachers are working with the children in the classroom.
____ To apply for tuition assistance, please request an application from the school office or download online. The application deadline is February 25, 2015 for the SSS Parent’s Financial Statement and for the Waldorf Tuition Assistance Form with a copy of your filed 2014 federal tax return (including copies of W-2’s, 1099’s, and any attached schedules).

Notification Date
Decision letter and contracts will be mailed on April 3, 2015 and will be due back, with the initial payment, on April 16, 2015.

Elementary and Middle School (Grades 1 to 8)

____ Attend an Introduction to Waldorf Education program to learn more about the school. Call the school office at (404) 377-1315 x1060 to reserve your space.

____ Give the Teacher Recommendation form to your child’s current or former teacher to complete and send to WSA.
____ Give the Records Release form to your child’s current school. They will forward school records to WSA.
____ Your family will receive a copy of Waldorf Education: A Family Guide. Please review it prior to your parent-teacher interview
____ The Enrollment Director will contact you to schedule a two to three day classroom visit for your child; older children may also be asked to meet with the class teacher prior to the classroom visit.
____ You will be contacted for an interview with the class teacher.
____ To apply for tuition assistance, please request an application from the school office or download online.
