No tablets, no screens, and no regrets.
For 40 years, we have kept screens out of the grade-school day so children can make, move, imagine, connect, and discover the world firsthand. Here, learning is something students do, not something they consume. Then, in 8th grade, they meet technology the way they have met everything else: hands-on and from the ground up, taking apart a computer and rebuilding it, wiring circuits on a Raspberry Pi, and writing their first lines of code.
