Our School and Community:
Founded in 1986 as a preschool/kindergarten program, The Waldorf School of Atlanta graduated its first eighth grade class in 2000. We offer preschool to grade eight education for approximately 230 students, including Spanish, Movement Education (Spatial Dynamics and Eurythmy), Music (Recorder, Strings, Chorus, Drumming), Handwork, Woodwork, Practical Arts, and Sports Programs. Our parent/child program warmly introduces young families to Waldorf education. The school is fully accredited by both SAIS and AWSNA. Academe of the Oaks Waldorf High School opened in the fall of 2003, just five minutes from our campus.
Our experienced and creative faculty work closely with an active and dedicated Board of Trustees and a committed and talented parent community. An established Core Faculty with years of Waldorf experience share a strong commitment to studying and working with Rudolf Steiner’s picture of the developing child.

The Waldorf School of Atlanta is seeking Class Teachers for Grades 1 and 4 for the 25-26 school year.
Class teachers have a unique and comprehensive role due to the personal and academic commitment to the class over a number of years. This role involves creating a productive working relationship with parents and colleagues, as well as with students. Class Teachers are responsible for bringing a grade-specific curriculum in accordance with the principles and methods of Waldorf education. They foster a healthy social life among the class. They also work to build strong relationships with parents to support the success of each student. All teachers at our school take an active part in school festival and cultural life. Committee service offers the opportunity to contribute to multiple areas of interest.
Qualifications and Benefits:
A Bachelor’s degree is required. Waldorf teacher training and classroom experience are preferred. The Waldorf School of Atlanta is seeking a full-time Spanish World Language teacher for the 2025-26 school year for Grades 1 to 8. This teacher is responsible for bringing a grade-specific curriculum following the principles and methods of Waldorf education, including researching source materials, preparing and implementing daily lesson plans, and assessing the evolving needs of the students. The lessons should be prepared keeping in mind the diverse cultural backgrounds of the different countries that speak Spanish, while celebrating the people and cultures of those countries.
